Solarix stranded cables are designed for manufacturing patch cords. Their flexibility is ensured by the fact that individual conductors consist of a stranded wire, which is braided from seven thin copper strands with a diameter of 0.18 mm. The overall conductor size of these Solarix cables is AWG 24. The cables are available in both shielded and unshielded versions. In the case of the FTP cable, the shielding is provided by aluminum foil, and the color of the PVC jacket is gray. The unshielded Solarix stranded cable is also available in gray with a PVC jacket. Due to its properties (primarily higher attenuation), stranded cables are not suitable for horizontal cabling.
