The Draka universal optical cable, with a fire reaction class of B2ca-s1a,d1,a1, can be used in both indoor and outdoor environments. The outer jacket of the optical cable is of the LSOHFR type; in the event of ignition, it produces minimal or no smoke, minimal particle droplet formation, and releases no acidic gases. The jacket compound includes a UV-stable component. The fibers are housed in a gel-filled central tube, which protects them from water ingress. The optical cable contains no metallic components and is fully dielectric. The fiber itself is of the OS2 BendBright G.657.A1 type.
